What We Treat
Focused support for the life in front of you
Your counselor draws from established approaches, names each one and adapts the work to your goals, comfort and pace.

Burnout and work stress
When work follows you home and rest stops helping. We talk through what is draining you, what you can change and what you can't, and build routines you choose.
Workload, boundaries and rest
Career decisions and transitions
Perfectionism and the pressure to perform

Anxiety and worry
Racing thoughts, constant worry, physical tension. We use cognitive behavioral and mindfulness-based methods, and explain each one before we try it.
Racing thoughts and persistent worry
Stress regulation and grounding skills
Sleep and the 3 a.m. mind

Relationships and boundaries
Communication with a partner, family or colleagues, and learning where your limits are. Sessions are one-on-one, and we focus on your side of the conversation.
Conflict cycles and repair
Saying no without guilt
Life transitions that strain relationships

Low mood and motivation
When everything feels heavy and motivation disappears. We combine talk therapy with behavioral activation, which means small, planned steps back toward what matters to you.
Low mood, isolation and loss of interest
Self-criticism and hopeless thinking
Routines that support you
Our Approach
How we work with you
A clear, collaborative process keeps therapy connected to what matters in your daily life.
First Session
Begin with a conversation about what you want from therapy and how sessions work.
Collaborative Planning
Together we identify priorities and choose a starting direction for the work.
In Person or by Video
Meet in Portland, or by video if you are located in Oregon.
Practical Resources
When useful, sessions may include exercises or reflections to use between visits.
One Counselor
You work with the same licensed professional counselor from the first session on.
Regular Check-ins
We revisit goals and adjust the approach as your needs change.
Common Questions
Before You Book
How is therapy paid for?
You pay for each session yourself, and your fee is given to you in writing before you start. We are out of network with insurance plans, and we give a monthly receipt you can send to your plan. How fees work has the details.
How long does therapy last?
It depends on your goals and what you are working through. Your counselor sets the pace with you, and we check in regularly about what is working and when you feel ready to change it.
Do you accept insurance?
We are out of network with insurance plans and do not bill them. You can send our monthly receipt to your plan, which decides whether to reimburse.
Ready to Begin?
Send us a message and we will reply on business days. Your first session is a conversation, not a commitment.
